While traveling east to the Shenandoah NP, we had spent a couple of nights in Lincoln State Park in Indiana to visit Santa Claus, IN. While in the area we also visited this Monastery. It was very cool and is home to one of the largest communities of Benedictine women in the country. It is a very large complex. We were amazed to find out how many monasteries Indiana has. We took a tour and an while we were waiting there was a pianist practicing in a side vestibule. Though I couldn’t see her, her playing skill was astonishing and the complexity of the piece she was playing was astonishing. Not even in my dreams could I ever think of being able to play at that level!
