We had another beautiful day here in the St. Louis area and we headed off on a day trip to see the Historic Daniel Boone Home and Village. This is located about an hour from home and not a direct route to it from home. So, we enjoyed some new back road areas that we hadn’t explored.
I thought I knew quite a bit about Daniel Boone from growing up, but realized after we toured this beautiful site that I did not anything the late period of his life. The home was actually Nathan Boone’s home where Daniel lived late in his life. When they moved from Kentucky, the whole family moved here and several of his children had land and home where Daniel and Rebecca would move and live with each through various times of the years. The early RV style of grand-parents traveling! Enjoy
