Our visit to Valley Forge was part of our trip to Philadelphia Revolutionary War tour. Getting to Valley Forge was an adventure too. We had flown into Philadelphia and stayed in a hotel downtown. Since we had not rented a car for our stay, we took the train out so far and then took a bus the rest of the way. Each way took about an hour and half. Once we arrived, we walked and toured the national park. This took us about 3 hours of walking but gave us plenty of time to enjoy everything. Also, there was an artist painting the arch and we were able to spend some time there watching.
