I have had the pleasure of visiting New Salem since I was in 5th grade and that is a long time ago. lol We were camped up at Jim Edgar Panther Creek State Park and we took a day to go see New Salem again. It was a mid week visit so it was pretty quite but several of the buildings were open and the young tour guides in each were very good and helpful. We were very glad that we visited.
