Our Great Northern Central Waterways Adventure, 2019 – Day 4

We moved a few hours north to the Terrace View Campsites campground, Tomahawk WI. This is a smaller family campground that was built in 1967 by the family who still runs the place. The parking spaces are a bit small, but our camper fit just fine (a larger 5th wheel rig or bus might have some trouble fitting). There was a small lake a short walk from our spot so we enjoyed a chance to sit beside the lake and relax and watch some Loons. It was a nice place to enjoy an overnight stay.

While camped there we met Jane, a lady headed across the country to Oregon to meet up with friends to do some kayaking. She was pulling a small teardrop camper with her two Kayaks strapped to the top of her vehicle. To understand how small the world is, exactly one month later we were visiting the Iowa Trucking Museum/I-80 Largest Truck Stop near Davenport, IA, and Jane was parked at that truck stop. She was on her way back home.
