Hunter-Dawson State Historic Site is located in New Madrid, MO down in the boot heel area of Missouri. This is a 15 room house that was built in 1860. We had a great tour guide who spent a lot of time giving us the history of this home and local history also. We had a great time going through the rooms and studying the artifacts. Again this was a location where a lot of the items were original to the home. All the foot lockers were original to the home. If you are in the area, make sure you visit this home. Also, don’t miss the museum there also.

We were on our annual fall trip to Echo Bluff State Park Lodge. We have been going to this lodge every November since it opened in 2016. We always enjoy our time there. While on this trip we also drove over to meet our friend Dave and Barb for a long visit. We met in Mansfield, MO at the Vaccaro’s PIzza & Pasta. The food was very, very good and our service was great. We stayed and visited for over two hours and our waitress was great. When we were leaving she said we were her best table all day.
