Years Visited: 2004, 2003, 1995

We love visiting Bryce National Park. The first time we visited (1995) we stayed at the Bryce Canyon Lodge. From there, it is a short walk to the canyon rim. I took Wanita out the first night about midnight and we walked out to the rim and set down on a bench. Then I had her look up: The night sky was pitch black and covered with thousands of sparkling diamonds. What a wondrous sight! The hiking is amazing here but you have to keep in mind that you get to climb down for most of your hiking but at the end of the day…you have to climb back up!

November, 2004:

We visited here in November which allows for smaller crowds but also snow storms are possible. And we got one while we were there. But still, being in the park in a snowfall has been one of my favorite things. It cool/cold, not many people on the trails, snow falling around us and magic surrounds us. There is nice hotel just outside, (it is now a Best Western) called Ruby’s Inn. We’ve always like to stop and eat there when we travel to Bryce.

November, 2003:

I visited here in November, 2003 with coworkers and we had a great time enjoying the national park. It didn’t snow this time while I was there but driving back to Las Vegas, we ran into roads that had been closed due to 10″ of snow that had fallen. Took a while to work our way back to our hotel. It was a fun adventure!

July, 1995

This was our first visit to Bryce National Park together. We stayed the Bryce Canyon Lodge and hike everyday we were there. We spent a lot of time on the trails and it was very, very hot! But walking through the rock formations, the deep and ragged rocks. Just amazing! The colors!!! The color changed throughout the day while still maintaining that wonderful color you see in the pictures.
