Yellowstone National Park! Those three words pretty much describe our feelings toward this national park. We have been going to Yellowstone since 1975. The early trips were before met and got married. My first trip was after graduation in 1975 and Wanita’s family was there in summer of 1976 for a family vacation. Wanita and her mom/dad were also in Yellowstone during the fires of 1988; they were one of the last cars to let into the park with directions to drive straight through.

During this trip in 1995, Alecia had flown back to Illinois to visit family for a couple of weeks and suddenly at work both Wanita and I found us both able to take 2 weeks off work unexpectedly. So, we took off and did a whirlwind trip to the Grand Canyon, Zion, Bryce, Salt Lake, Yellowstone, Grand Tetons, Jackson Hole, Cody and then we stopped in Cheyenne, WY to call and check on Alecia. She said she was homesick and wanted us to come and get her…So, we drove straight through and picked her up. Off to St. Louis to see the Arch and Six-Flags on the way back home. I’ll write up a travel log on this trip a little later and post a link to it from here. Enjoy
